Michael Pickens (left), and Tanner Thorson (right) both scored two feature wins during the five-day fifth annual Illinois SPEED Week for the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League. Pickens won at Joliet and Macon, along with the overall crown. Thorson captured the events at Fairbury, and Jacksonville. |
| USAC Indiana Midget Week begins tonight at Montpelier Motor
Speedway. It continues the Wednesday night at I-69 Gas City Speedway.
Putnamville's Lincoln Park Speedway hosts their traditional Thursday night
event, before Bloomington Speedway on Friday. Lawrenceburg Speedway, again
hosts the Saturday night event. Sunday's finale will be at Kokomo Speedway. BCRA's only doubleheader of the season takes place Friday at Ocean Speedway followed by a visit to the popular Petaluma Speedway, the following evening. Saturday the Rocky Mountain Midget Series visit the El Paso County Fairgrounds. POWRi/All Star Midget Series return to Valley Speedway on Saturday, with The POWRi Lucas Oil Western Midget League visiting the I-44 Riverside Raceway for the third time this season. |
