Five events in CA, PA, CO & IN highlight weekend races

Ryan Greth holds a nine-point lead over Alex Bright going into Friday's ARDC/USAC Eastern event at Grandview Speedway. RMMRA returns to El Paso County Raceway for their third event of the season Friday. Luke Icke and Bob Harr have won events at the track this season.

BCRA runs visits Marysville Raceway on Saturday Night, for a doubleheader with the BCRA Midget Lites. The racing program will also feature the track's wingless sprint car division, economy sprint cars and super stocks.

It's also the second straight Saturday event for Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget Series. Kokomo Speedway's annual Kokomo Klassic on Sunday will feature an open competition midget race.

Thorson, Bayston, Faccinto, Wise score victories
Tanner Thorson won opening night of the Inaugural Thunder in the Valley at Valley Speedway. The tri-sanctioned event featured the POWRi Lucas Oil National, Western,and Allstar Midget Leagues. Thorson passed Andrew Felker for the lead with nine laps remaining to score his third feature victory of the season. Series points leader Zach Daum placed second, followed by Felker Spencer Bayston and Tucker Klaasmeyer.

Night two saw Bayston lead the entire distance finishing ahead of: Thorson, Daum, Kyle Schuett who started 17th, and Jonathan Beason. Forty cars participated in the event both nights.
Twenty-three midget cars drivers and crews were on hand Saturday night at the Petaluma Speedway for the Jack London Hall of Fame race co-sanctioned USAC Western/BCRA event. In the afternoon before the racing program began, BCRA hosted the annual Jack London Bash Picnic and the 2017 BCRA Hall of Fame induction ceremony at Behrens Park on the Sonoma - Marin Fairgrounds. Michael Faccinto led the the final seven laps to win the 30-lap feature over: Frankie Guerrini, Alex Schutte, Shannon McQueen, and Danny Carroll.
Zeb Wise won his first career feature winning the Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget Series feature driving the Clauson-Marshall Racing No. 39. Following Wise were: Brent Beauchamp, Kyle Craker, Chett Gherke, and Anton Julian.
