Six Saturday Night
events scheduled |
Six Saturday Night nationwide midget events include: The
USAC Western States Midgets visiting Santa Maria Raceway. The event will
also feature: the Western RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, American
Stocks, Santa Maria Dwarf Cars, NMRA TQ Midgets, and QRC Karts.
Randy Cabral leads Avery Stoehr by
45-points heading into NEMA's Marvin Rifchin Memorial at Star
Speedway. The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League returns to
Macon Speedway for the Third Annual Rich Camfield Memorial. Zach Daum
leads the standings with a 460 point advantage over rookie Logan Seavey.
RMMRA returns to Ft.Morgan's I-76
Speedway for the third time this season. Keith Rauch holds a comfortable
points lead, with four events remaining. Chet Gehrke tries for his second
straight victory at Montpelier Motor Speedway. WMRA makes their
only appearance of the season at Washington's Wenatchee Valley Super
Oval. |

Speedway, York Haven: Justin Grant passed two of Keith
Kunz's cars to win from third place on the final corner of the last
lap for the Clauson-Marshall Racing Team. Trailing Grant were: Tanner Thorson,
Spencer Bayston, Shane Golobic, and Tanner Carrick.Monday: PathValley Speedway Park, Spring
Run: Chad Boat scored a thrilling last lap victory. Boat using a
turn one slide job on Tyler Courtney coming to the white flag on a
late-race green-white-checkered situation to win the event. Courtney
finished second with ARDC/USAC Eastern points leader Ryan Gerth, Holly
Shelton and Brayton Lynch completing the top five.
Tuesday: Lanco's C.
Martin Mem. Speedway, Newmanstown: For the second
straight year Thorson captured the 40-lap event at the 1/8-mile
bullring.Leading the entire distance Thorson finished ahead of: Bacon,
Courtney, Bayston, and fast qualifier Golobic. Thursday: Linda's Speedway, Jonestown: Boat
scored a wire-to-wire victory for his second victory in four days. Boat
survived four restarts to win the event over Golobic, Bayston, Courtney
and Grant. Bayston holds a 60-point lead over Bacon heading into the next
USAC National Midget event on Sept. 23 at Eldora Speedway.
